Poor Peiwei . . .

The good news is that Peiwei has started walking this week, the bad news is that she already has had a major spill (if you haven't guessed she face planted the tub).

The good news is this house is a rental, so who cares what happens to it - the bad news is that the above indentations are where poor Peiwei's two front teeth hit the metal railing. Her teeth were actually pushed back up into her gums; the dentist says they will take about six weeks to drop back down into place again. We are praying that she doesn't loose them which is still a possibility.

The good news is that Peiwei has been able to eat soft foods today . . . regardless of her swollen face.

The bad news is that her poor gum is all swollen and bruised! :-(  -CRW

Recap !!

Our trip to Disneyland was great! We had an awesome time and wish we could go back and redo it even better now that we have experienced it once. I want to highlight some things, said and done, so I don't forget. Also, to prove to my children how much their Dad ROCKS!!! But we already knew that.

First, things first I am afraid Red has no fear in her bones. CRW and I have tried to teach our children that it is OK to be afraid but, that is no reason not to do something. Often we force them to do things that scare them. We are at the Tower of Terror, a ride in California Adventure at Disneyland. I can tell LuLu is a little freaked out so to loosen her up I tell her they steal children out of the line and hide them from their parents. I know a little harsh but, she was so focused on whether I was joking or not she forgot to be afraid of the ride. Red just rolls her eyes and says this of all the crying kids in line, and I quote: "Those kids are ridiculous this is all fake" We go on the ride, it was Awesome!! Red gets unbuckled and says to me: "Thats it. Thats all they got!! No Fear, Red, No Fear at all.

Next their sweet Dad stands in line for 1 hour and 45 Min. So my girls can get three Princess' Autographs. While Dad is stuck in line Grandpa  takes the girls on rides so they don't miss out on a thing. Your not allowed to have strollers in line and Pei Wei was asleep in the stroller so I parked and stayed with her and talked to CRW on the cell phone. The things we do for our kids!

We drove up to Santa Barbara, the most beautiful place in California, to see great-grandma. The kids love the city and think we should move there. LuLu was at grandpa's friend's house picking avocados, oranges, limes, and grapefruit outside in the backyard. She turns to me and says: "I could get used to this, I think we should move here." To funny if it was only that easy we would. The food, weather, and visit was the highlight of the trip.

Speaking of food total side note. We try to eat a lot of fish however, LuLu and Red don't seem to enjoy it. Pei Wei loves fish so that is one good thing. We were at a restaurant and Grandpa ordered Calamari. The kids ate over half of it. They asked us what it was and CRW told them, Calamari. After they ate the dish CRW says: "oh yea, I remember the other name for Calamari." The girls ask what. He answers them, Squid. I thought LuLu was going to throw up. She won't admit it but she liked it even if it was Squid.

After having two weeks off CHEMO Grandpa was feeling good. He was a trooper with the kids and retaining some water from the treatments. His last blood work shows he is responding to CHEMO bad news is he is loosing his hair. CRW's dad is living with us and has since January. He has stage four Pancreatic Cancer and is terminal.  This trip was on the top of his bucket list. Our next trip is NYC.

Happy Birthday CRW he is the big 37. Hope you had a great Birthday.

Disney Trip . . .

Our family trip this year was a real surprise for the girls - they knew we were going to visit their great grandma in California, but had no idea that we were also going to visiting the happiest place on Earth!

We have instilled in our kids a sense of no fear when it comes to rides - they did it all! The roller coaster, Space Mountain, the Matterhorn (Red's favorite ride), the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Lulu's favorite ride), and of course all the other favorites.

One must always ride the teacups when visiting . . .

Peiwei's personal favorite was the fireworks show the last night we were there. Every time a firework exploded and the "Boom" hit the audience, she would giggle hysterically. A group of teenage boys next to us thought her reaction to the fireworks was better than the show itself.
(She was smiling and flirting with them during the whole night - boys in the future don't stand a chance against her . . .)

Happy Birthday Pei Wei

Where's Piper? If I can't see you, you can't see me.

Before birthday cake.

After birthday cake. Yuck!

I wonder what this card will taste like!!

Well our sweet little Ham turned 1 years old on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. It is hard to believe  1 year has gone by. She has had a great year and she brings a smile to my face every time I think of her. Everywhere we go she waves,  smiles,  and says HI. She loves men they are the ones she flirts with and will be the most bashful with. Women and kids get a wave and a big smile.

The low down on where she is now. She claps and plays hide and seek. She gives high fives. She waves and says Hi. She talks on the cell phone. She can stand on her own without help however, she is not walking yet. She holds on to furniture and cruises around. She can crawl up the flight of 16 stairs we have in our house. She has slept through the night since she was 5 weeks old and only wakes when she is sick and can't breathe. She takes great naps. Hates milk and juice. Loves Cold water! Loves to take showers with Dad. She loves DOGS! She loves baby books that are pictures of babies. She gets excited when she sees her family and she is getting used to Grandpa Gregg's beard. All of the words she uses are as follows, and CRW wants the record set that Pei Wei said dada first, mama, hi, uh- oh, and whatz that. If you point to a picture of Jesus and say his name she will repeat it. She says daday instead of baby. Most people say she is a loud baby because she is really loud when she is happy, which is always.

She went to the doctor today for her 12 month check up. The doctor said he thinks she will be the tallest out of the three. Here are her stats: Wt: 20 lbs 7oz  35%, Ht: 32 in  97%, Head: 48c 95%. So as you can see she will be tall and skinny with a big head.

She had a great Birthday. She hated her birthday cake. Didn't like the frosting on her hands and got all clothes for her birthday. You guessed it people not one toy in the bunch everyone thought she would get toys and so we all gave her clothes. Oh well she liked the cards the most she tried to eat them. I hope this next year is as good as the last.

We Love You Pei Wei!
